Lets Get This Bread

Image
I know in my past posts I have talked much about reading the word and how important it is to dwell in the word. But I have never talked about what the Bible is, how to study it and how to apply it to our lives. So this is what I want to do today. I want to show you that it isn't hard, the only hard part is setting the habit, but once you have the habit down, you can do it. And not only is the word of God a good story to read, it is a story that is true and can be applied forever into our lives. It is a story that each time you read, it has a new meaning. It is the LIVING word of God.  The Bible is the Word of God. The spirit of God was in each of the human beings that were writing in it. They may not have been fully aware of all that was going on, or why but God was guiding them so that the words used were not of common man but were God's Word.   “No prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man,...

Community in Him

Image
“ When you get down, let God’s  grace get you up.” He is the  ultimate comforter and He is the  shelter in the storm and He  eventually one day bring to yo u a  community that will build you up.   He has overcome the world.  This is what we have to  understand, He was able to  go through worse than what  we go through and He was  better for it. So, even though  we may feel alone we will  find rest in Him. And He  WILL send us those who are  meant to stay in our  community, so long as we  remain faithful. There has been times in my life where I would turn left and I would turn right and nobody was there. Not a single soul. I would pray to God and ask Him to send me people in my life that would be there for me so that I could finally experience friendship. I wanted to experience being wanted because I felt unimportant to just about everyone in my life.I felt abandoned, left alone. I looked for othe...

Relationship with Christ Brings Security.

Image
Last post we talked about relationship vs religion. So, I thought I would talk a bit more on how to build that relationship and how a true relationship helps grow on your IDENTITY and SECURITY. Because when life comes to an end the real thing that will be the focus is do we have a personal relationship with the One who created us. It isn't about if we go to church or if we grew up in a Christian home. It's about our time alone with God. Knowing God on a friend level, based on the grace that He has offered each and every single one of us. It is about being made new based on what Jesus has done for us, sacrificing His life on the cross for us. The ultimate sacrifice. the Bible tells us that we have salvation by grace through  faith, which is a gift given to everyone, no matter if they are "good" or "bad". Since Jesus lived a perfect life, His sacrifice is more than enough to pay for our inequities. As it is written in Romans 3:25. So, the way f...

Relationship vs Religion

Image
Let's talk about relationship. Every single person can say they love. Every christian specifically is called to love in Matthew 22:37-40  And he said to him,  “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.   This is the great and first commandment.   And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.   On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” So what exactly does this mean, it means exactly what my other post talked about, it means to be mindful, connecting more deeply to those that exist in our life, rather than living for ourselves and what makes us happy. It means to be approachable, allowing for people to come to us when they are in need. It means having grace, just like the grace that God has for others we must be less judgemental towards them because if we receive God's grace without having the ability to provide that for others then we are hypo...
